Alhambra's city council has approved two 'Tenant Protection Ordinances,' official said. The ordinances, approved at the council's May 22 meeting, imposed a temporary moratorium that prevent landlords, under certain circumstances, from evicting tenants for the purposes of remodeling. The votes passed 5-0 to approve following public comment from both property owners and tenants in Alhambra. 'This decision gave the people of Alhambra a sense of being heard and represented by their City Council,' said David Bond for the Alhambra Tenants Union.
